What is Bonnet Welded Gate Valve ?
Gate valves usually consist of a valve body and a bonnet, which form the pressure-bearing housing of the gate valve. Welded bonnet is a very popular valve body bonnet joint. It is the most commonly used structure for compact steel valves with specifications of 1/2~2in, pound classes between Class 800~2500, and no need to disassemble. Similar to the pressure-sealed bonnet, the welded bonnet gate valve is lighter than the bolted bonnet gate valve.

The characteristics of bonnet welded gate valve

The gate moves linearly with the valve stem. Usually, there is a trapezoidal thread on the lifting rod. Through the nut at the top of the valve and the guide groove on the valve body, the rotary motion is converted into linear motion, that is, the operating torque is converted into operating thrust.

The body is directly connected to the pipeline and constitutes a pressure-bearing component for the flow channel of the medium. It is an important part for installing the valve cover, placing the valve seat, and connecting the pipeline. The valve body must accommodate a vertical disc-shaped station that moves up and down, so the height of the inner cavity of the valve body is relatively large.

The bonnet is the main pressure-bearing component connected to the valve body and forming a pressure chamber with the valve body, and there is a stuffing box on it. For medium and small-caliber valves, the valve cover is provided with a mechanism to support parts such as the valve stem nut or transmission device.

Directly connected to the valve stem nut or transmission device, the light rod part forms a sealing pair with the packing, which can transmit torque and play the role of opening and closing the gate. According to the thread position on the valve stem, it is divided into a clear stem gate valve and a dark stem gate valve.
