What is Bellows Gate Valve ?
The bellows gate valve is based on the ordinary gate valve to add a metal bellows seal. It adopts the bellows and packing double seal in the valve stem part. It is easy to leak for the packing part, the stem and packing seal is isolated from the medium, in order to prevent the valve stem dynamic seal in the use of leakage. Metal bellows are the key sealing components of bellows valves, and their structural design directly affects the quality of the whole valve.

The characteristics of bellows gate valve

The gate is the key component of the bellows gate valve. It is connected to the bellows through a telescopic mechanism and plays the role of opening and closing the pipeline. The gate has a rigid gate and an elastic gate. According to the difference in the gate, the gate valve is divided into a rigid gate valve and an elastic gate valve.

The metal bellows contains the unique mechanical properties of metal, has good sealing, is pressure-resistant, corrosion-resistant, high and low temperature-resistant, has good elasticity, and can withstand a certain torque.

The metal bellows can produce corresponding displacements under the action of pressure, lateral force or bending moment, which can improve the sealing performance of the valve stem and protect the valve stem from corrosion by the medium.

The sealing structure of the bellows gate valve includes the seal between the gate and the valve body and the seal between the bellows and the pipeline. Among them, the gate seal usually adopts soft seal or metal seal, and the bellows seal adopts rubber or polytetrafluoroethylene and other materials.
